Privacy Policy
Last updated 7 October 2026
- Everything you record in Judith stays on your phone. We don't have a server that stores it, so we can't see it.
- There's no account, no sign-up, and no ads or tracking in the app.
- If you subscribe to Judith Pro, the app store and our subscription provider handle the purchase. We never see your card or wallet details.
- You can delete everything by deleting the records or uninstalling the app.
1. Who we are
Judith ("Judith ng Utang, Ipon, Atbp") is a mobile app made by Traxion Tech Inc., a company in the Philippines. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Traxion Tech Inc., and "you" means the person using Judith.
This policy explains what information Judith handles, where it goes, and the choices you have. We wrote it to follow the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its implementing rules.
2. What stays on your phone
Everything you put into Judith is saved in the app's private storage on your phone. That includes:
- names and nicknames of people you add, and any phone number you type in for them
- utang entries, payments, due dates and notes
- savings goals, what you set aside for each, and their history
- expenses you log, their categories and where you paid from, and the categories Judith learns for each merchant
- income you log, what kind it is and which account it went into
- credit cards you add, what you owe on them, their limits and due days, and the payments you record
- paluwagan groups, members, turns and contributions
- hatian events, expenses and shares
- bank names, account nicknames, time deposits, rates, maturity dates and investments
- photos you attach to an entry (Judith keeps its own copy inside the app)
- your settings, such as your name, reminder language and tone
None of this is sent to us. We don't run a server that collects it, and we have no way to look at it, copy it or recover it for you. If you lose your phone or uninstall the app without a backup, we can't bring it back. That's why Judith lets you save a locked backup anytime.
3. What we receive
When you check or buy Judith Pro
Judith Pro is a yearly subscription sold through Google Play or the Apple App Store. The store takes your payment under its own terms and privacy policy, and we never receive your card, bank or e-wallet details.
To confirm whether you have Pro, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription service that works on our behalf. When Judith starts or when you open the Pro screen, RevenueCat receives:
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| A random ID made for your copy of the app. It isn't your name, email or phone number. | To match your subscription to your app |
| Your purchase and subscription status, like the product, dates and renewals | To turn Pro on or off |
| Basic device and app details, such as the platform, OS version, app version, store country and language | To show the right price and keep the service working |
| Your IP address, which any internet connection sends | To deliver the response to your phone |
RevenueCat never receives your records. We use this information only to run your subscription, deal with billing questions and meet tax and accounting rules. You can read RevenueCat's privacy policy, Google's privacy policy and Apple's privacy policy for how they handle it.
When you email us
If you write to judith@traxiontech.net, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to answer you. Please don't send us your backup file or screenshots of your records unless we ask, and only if you're comfortable doing so.
From the app stores
Google and Apple may share with us summary reports about downloads, ratings and crashes, depending on your phone's own sharing settings. These reports don't identify you to us, and they don't include your records.
4. What we don't do
- Judith has no ads and no advertising or analytics trackers.
- We don't sell, rent or trade information about you.
- Judith doesn't read your contacts, messages, location or call logs.
- Judith doesn't hold, send or lend money, and it doesn't connect to your bank or e-wallet accounts.
- We don't use your records to judge your credit, and we don't share them with lenders or collectors.
5. Phone permissions
Judith asks for a permission only when you use the feature that needs it, and you can turn any of them off in your phone's settings.
| Permission | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Notifications | Due-date and maturity reminders. These are scheduled on your phone and don't come from a server. |
| Fingerprint or Face ID | Unlocking the app. Your phone checks your fingerprint or face and only tells Judith whether it matched. Judith never gets the fingerprint or face data. |
| Camera and photos | Adding a picture of a receipt or chat to an utang entry, if you choose to. Judith only sees the photos you pick. |
If you speak an expense using your keyboard's microphone, your phone's keyboard (for example Gboard or the iPhone keyboard) turns it into text under its own privacy terms. Judith only receives the text.
If you set a PIN, it's stored in your phone's secure keychain as a salted one-way hash, never as the PIN itself.
6. People you record
Your records will include details about other people, like a friend who borrowed money or the members of your paluwagan. Judith is for keeping your own personal and household records. Please list only what you need, and use it fairly and respectfully.
When you send a reminder or share a summary card, Judith opens your own messaging or sharing app with the message ready. You choose whether to send it and who gets it. Judith doesn't send anything by itself.
7. Backups, exports and archives
- Locked backups are sealed on your phone with AES-256 encryption, using a key made from a passphrase you choose. You pick where the file goes, such as Google Drive or iCloud Drive, through your phone's share sheet. Judith does not upload it anywhere itself. Without your passphrase the file can't be opened, by you, by Google or Apple, or by us. We never see the passphrase, so we can't recover it if it's forgotten. If you let Judith remember it, it is kept in your phone's secure keychain.
- Unlocked backup files and CSV exports are files you create and choose where to save or share. Anyone with the file can read it, so keep them somewhere safe.
- Weekly automatic backups (Pro) are saved inside Judith's own storage on your phone.
- Your phone's own backup, such as Google backup on Android or iCloud on iPhone, may include Judith's data depending on your phone settings. Google or Apple handles that under their terms, and we can't get to it.
- Free version history. After 12 months, finished records (a fully paid utang, a completed paluwagan, a settled hatian, a closed deposit) are moved to an archive file on your phone, which you can download. Judith gives you a week's notice first. Anything still owed or still running is never removed.
8. How long things are kept
- Your records stay on your phone until you delete them, restore over them, or uninstall the app.
- Subscription records held by RevenueCat and the app store are kept while your subscription is active and afterwards as long as needed for billing, tax and accounting rules.
- Support emails are kept only as long as we need them to help you, and then deleted.
9. Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act you have the right to be informed, to access, to correct, to object, to erase or block, to data portability, and to claim damages, as well as the right to file a complaint.
Since your records live only on your phone, you already control them: you can view, edit, export or delete them in the app anytime. For information held by RevenueCat or in your emails with us, write to judith@traxiontech.net. We'll answer within 15 working days. To help us find a subscription, include the store order number from your receipt.
If you think we've mishandled your personal information, you can also contact the National Privacy Commission at privacy.gov.ph.
10. Security
Judith keeps your records in the app's private storage, which other apps can't read. You can add a PIN or biometric lock, and after repeated wrong tries the app makes you wait longer before trying again. Connections to the app stores and RevenueCat are encrypted. Locked backups use AES-256-GCM, so a changed or damaged file is refused rather than restored. No system is perfectly safe, so please keep your phone locked, choose a passphrase others can't guess, and keep unlocked files private.
11. Children
Judith is meant for adults managing their own money and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change how Judith handles information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, like adding a new kind of data, we'll also let you know in the app before it takes effect.
